When Should You Consider Urgent Care?
Family Medicine Associates has extended hours on most days and we are available to meet your urgent needs soon, usually within 24 hours. If your usual provider is not available, you will be referred to another Family Medicine Associates provider.
Consider Urgent Care for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries such as:
- Abdominal pain (less than 24 hrs. since onset)
- Infections
- Colds and coughs
- Fever
- Flu or Flu-like symptoms
- Nausea and vomiting
- Minor burns
- Rash or other skin irritations
- Lacerations or abrasions
- Sprain and strains
- Sudden onset of headache or migraine
- Asthma
- Upper respiratory conditions (bronchitis, sinus infection, etc.)
- Urinary tract infections
- Allergic reactions
What Is Considered An Emergency?
Go to your nearest Emergency Department or call 911 if you experience any of these conditions:
- Chest Pain
- Trouble Breathing
- Severe Abdominal Pain
- Stroke Symptoms
- Excessive Bleeding
